hello my dear frns...
Ive been a lil busy these past few days … was really really free before that, then suddenly something came up and took away a lot of my time … but until a few days ago i was having the time of life .
In those few days, I underwent a complete metamorphosis more than once. First I was the giant insect hiding under the sofa, then an artist … a hunger artist… I even served a sentence in the penal colony . I cant really put in words the experience ive had reading Kafka …he put me in a state of trance for a long long time... he puts in words what u and I have felt so many times in a way i am sure no one else does. I think its better u guys experience the whole thing ureselves.
I also borrowed a few books from my frnd ..read just one of them till now and its the best book ive read so far… The Picture Of Dorian Gray … Oscar Wilde’s baby is pure genius … most people have read oscar wilde's short stories or poems some time or the other or know him for his witty remarks and quotes ... this book just beats them all, i fail to understand how he cud have been Lord Henry and Basil Hallward and Dorian Gray all at once… genius !!!.
Umm not so much music but one song ...actually two that I listened to a bit these past few days In The Air Tonight by Phil Collins and You Made Me the Thief Of Your Heart by Sinead O’Connor
Just one movie and an amazing one… Last Exit to Brooklyn (the book is absolutely ouststanding and much better than the movie.. Hubert Selby Jr. is the author... the same guy who wrote Requiem For A Dream) … Uli Edel is one of my favorite directors and this is another masterpiece but I liked Christiane F more …

Weekly Update !!!
Hello ma dear frns...
What a wonderful week it’s been … first got done with my application etc (aaaahhhhh what a sigh of relief now fingers crossed … but I guess they’re gonna stay like that for another 4 months or so :P)…caught up with a couple of school friends and indulged in some movies music and literature...
First the frnds… well it’s a 'tale of two brothers'
Faisal Rahman… well 5 yrs back Mr. Faisal was not sure what he wants to do with his life caught up between doctors and engineers(his paternal relatives are all doctors n maternal relatives all engineers)… someone also suggested a BCom at Xavier’s but Mr. Faisal had other plans...a degree in Mass Communication... someone convinced Faisal. So Mr. Faisal enrolled for Mass Com at Xavier’s and that’s where things started changing… for the better of course. His college days are full of short films… one of which i like a lot … u can check it out here The Landlady part1 ,The Landlady part2. So after passing out, this dude worked in CTS for 8 months or so (yeah …if ure in Xavier’s doesn’t matter what branch ure studyin :)) n then quit only to join FTII, pune for a course in film making (people like Anurag Kashyap do their workshops there) … again like in my earlier post I’d like to mention its immensely tough to get into FTII … u really have to be something. I could c the FTII change when i met him yesterday … one look at him and ull kno hes an artist (it’s not just about growin ure hair or wearing kurta n jeans mind you…). I guess it’s the company of like minded people who understand u and ure work that really adds that extra bit. Im sure very soon Faisal will be a part of some big screen thing, and when he does that I’ll write a blog about that too!!!
Mr Faisal Rahman has a very very talented and amiable younger brother Safdar, who is absolutely amazing … this dude was in the school cricket team( wicket-keeper/opening batsman), football team (he was the striker), won at least half a dozen medals in the annual school athletic meet every year, was the school long distance champion, is a top student, scored above 90 % in his board exams, was a scrabble champion as a kid and has read almost any book u can name… so this genius m talkin about … well at the end of class 10 when everyone was thinking bio or maths , he decided to take up commerce and then when every commerce student was thinkin of a BCom or Eco(Hons) … well he opted for a BA(Hons) in English… why??? … because that’s what he wants to do … also Mr Safdar Rahman is deeply involved in theatre and just completed shooting for a short film yesterday.
Well what can I say … it’s amazing to know such people, who have the guts to go with their heart and do what they really want to !!!
Ok now the music n movies…
Movie : Closer… amazing movie … much closer to reality than most movies that deal with a similar issue… also really nice background music especially The Blower’s Daughter n Cold Water, both by Damien Rice.

Ummm….I really wanted to write something about the reading ive done in the past few days but I’ll save that for another time …

Hmm...
its been a busy week .. went to allahabad for recommendations... things looked different der... strangely dint feel nostalgic.. rather felt out of place .. i guess no batchmates thats why... besides that mostly busy with applications.
ok so now the interesting stuff
watched a few movies.. liked 500 days of summer especially .. its a nice light movie good time-pass/stress-buster.
lots of music as usual two songs i listened to a lot this week 'Us' and 'Hero' both by Regina Spektor amazing fresh voice , also Rammstein's nu album Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da , kool stuff as always.
m also following a blog by N. Santhosh where he describes his years in MNNIT . its just started but looks fun. u can check it out here http://dontplanjusact.blogspot.com/

Here We Go ....
so frnds ive alway wanted to blog ... but simply cudnt ... i actually posted a couple of times earlier but thats history ...this is a new start (i kno that sounds so cliche :P)...
just a li'l backgraound for those folks i havent spoken much to in the past 6 months ...
umm still jobless :D ...
was in two minds actually three... whether to prepare for CAT, wait for the joining, or try for GRE... after waiting a couple of months,chose the third n got 1460 ... so looking forward to Fall '10.
not upto nething much besides that ... watched a few movies, some good music, few daily soaps ( KRK is back in big boss :haha) and spent a lot of time just thinking randomly about random things.
will get back with some interesting stuff this weekend ....
